Guest Artist Apartment Housewarming

City Theatre – Housewarming Celebration

What better way to welcome your favorite playwright, actor, choreographer or director? You can help us create living spaces for our guest artists that reflect what you love most about City Theatre – warmth, intimacy and innovation.

Our new Guest Artist Apartments offer the comforts of home to out-of-town artists working here in Pittsburgh at your City Theatre!  The apartments feature artist-specific amenities including high ceilings, plenty of natural light, hardwood floors, original pressed tin ceilings, wireless internet access, cable connections, 220-volt electrical power, soundproofing, and commercially-rated ventilation and exhaust systems.  A charming courtyard provides a place to relax, socialize and maybe even form new artistic collaborations.

Help us turn these empty apartments into warm and inviting homes for our visiting artists to enjoy while they are in Pittsburgh. There are three easy ways to give:

  1. Visit our registry at Target-View List to choose a gift from the furnishings and housewares we’ve selected;
  2. Visit the City Theatre page at www.networkforgood.org to make a secure online gift;
  3. Call Dianne Duursma at 412.431.4400 ext. 278 to make a credit card gift by phone.

Join us on Thursday, August 7 at 5pm for the Housewarming Celebration and take a private tour of these fabulous new studio apartments in the historic Beneficial Building (entrance at 1506 Bingham St).
